“My name is Leah Polycarpou and I am the current Victorian Champion in the 1500m and 2000m Steeple for my age group. As I transitioned into the age group of 16-18 years old, in addition to being the youngest within this competitive group, I started to doubt myself and felt that I was not able to win against the other girls who were up to 2 years older than me.

As a result of that mindset, not only was I not winning races any more, I was not even running times close to my personal best as I regularly used to do beforehand.

This was until I started the coaching sessions with Corina Lorenzi, from Elite Success Strategies. Through various techniques, including NLP, Corina was able to assist me in changing my mindset into the mindset of a champion runner. As a result, my running times started to improve and ultimately I won the 1500m, 2000m Gold and 800m Steeple for the Victorian championships 2013.

From Corina, I learned strategies in how to achieve goals, to align my beliefs with my goals and ultimately how to stay on track and work towards my vision of representing Australia at the Olympics. I am looking forward to working with Corina again in the future.”
